This coaster is also stepping in as the successor to Thunderation, the beloved mine train coaster that has carried riders through tunnels and a double helix since 1993. Thunderation’s very last day of operation is set for January 2, 2027, so if you want one final ride on a Branson classic before it retires, this is the year to do it.

Silver Dollar City Is Getting an Actual Resort

For the first time ever, Silver Dollar City is building its own onsite resort. The 262 room property is scheduled to debut in 2027 and will include a full service restaurant, indoor and outdoor pools, and a sizable amount of meeting and event space. It is part of a much larger investment the park is making in its future, and it means a Silver Dollar City day trip can now turn into a full weekend without leaving the property.
